The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner strategically with Product, Engineering, and Operations to drive product decisions and roadmap priorities
- Lead the end-to-end product design process to ensure seamless interactions at every touchpoint within your product and service areas
- Develop end-to-end user workflows, low to high-fidelity wireframes, and prototypes
- Design within an established design system and contribute to the evolution of new design standards across Pilot
- Deliver thoughtful solutions and detailed specs that are ready for implementation
- Collaborate with internal/external users to conduct interviews and gather data to inform design decisions as needed
- Mentor other designers on strategy and craft, and maintain our team's high standard of design
- Experience: 6 years in Consumer Product, Enterprise, SaaS, Service Design or a relevant field with a proven track record of shipping end-to-end workflows and experiences from strategy to execution
- Product & Systems Thinking: Skilled at simplifying complex systems to achieve human-centric solutions that balance simplicity and functionality
- Design Craftsmanship: Strong attention to detail in information architecture, visual hierarchy, typography, and layout.
- Communication: Strong visual, verbal, and written communication. You actively seek and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: You thrive working with project leads and stakeholders, contributing to and aligning with broader team goals
- Business Acumen: You understand the business impact of design decisions and drive meaningful product value

The base pay range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $156,000 - $211,000 in San Francisco, CA. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular positions are eligible for equity, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time or temporary positions.
