Pilot John International Calibration Technician
The Calibration Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of measuring and testing equipment used in aviation. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate measurement and test equipment to ensure they meet published technical specifications.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision test equipment, applying calibration knowledge to resolve issues.
- Data Collection & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and record calibration data to produce detailed calibration reports and certificates.
- Interact with other technicians, management, internal customers, manufacturers, and vendors to ensure effective operations and adherence to calibration standards.
Certifications & Skills:
- Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Air Force certification or equivalent training.
- Intermediate understanding of electronic theory, physical/dimensional principles, and calibration methodologies.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in following software-driven test programs and utilizing MS Office Suite or Google Suite.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
Work Conditions:
- Ability to work off-shifts and occasionally lift heavy equipment.
- Willingness to sit, stand, or move about for long periods during testing procedures.
- Ability to lift and transport calibration equipment weighing up to 25 pounds regularly; heavier items with assistance.
