Job Responsibilities
This role involves the daily operation of a road haul truck in an active mine environment. Key responsibilities include:
• Pre and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure safe operation.
• Driving loaded and empty tanker trucks of various sizes, makes/models, and configurations to meet customer needs.
• Loading and unloading cargo using proper techniques and equipment.
• Operating pumps and valves for loading and unloading, both on and off the truck, to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Filling tanks of all types and sizes using various size hoses, nozzles, and fittings to meet customer requirements.
• Using pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, hammers, and other hand tools safely and effectively.
• Completing driver logs, pre and post-trip forms, invoices, and other paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Working courteously with supervisors, dispatchers, fellow employees, and customers to maintain positive relationships.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Participating in special projects as requested by management.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the team and achieve business objectives.
