POSITION TITLE: Social Media Intern with Cradle to Career Partnership
SALARY: Hourly, $17.00/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create, manage, and maintain appropriate content for social media sites including (but not limited to) Facebook, X, and Instagram.
• Stay connected with events, news, and noteworthy happenings with Cradle to Career.
• Take photographs and/or videos when applicable to accompany posts on social media sites.
• Develop new ideas, themes, or campaigns that can be implemented to engage and increase followers.
• Monitor online interaction from community and respond when appropriate.
• Work as a team with Advancement on creating and managing social media content.
• Analyze posts and adjust strategy for effectiveness, reach, and community engagement.
• Attend events (especially events hosted by Cradle to Career Partnership and its partners) to highlight systems change work on social media.
• Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have knowledge of or willingness to learn X, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Must write in a professional manner that is acceptable to Cradle to Career Partnership.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office, email and internet research.
• Must have basic knowledge of public relations and marketing strategies.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Canva or similar platform
• Strong writing skills
• Creativity in video story telling creation
HOURS NEEDED
• Up to 19.5 hours a week
What to Expect
• Phone screen interview with the hiring supervisor for the position of interest.
• In person interview with the hiring supervisor for the position of interest.
• Create a work schedule with your supervisor that does not conflict with your class schedule.
• When all forms are turned in you and your supervisor will be notified so a start date can be established.
