The Faculty Services & Resource Centers, within the Faculty Affairs & Development unit, seeks a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team. Individuals with a passion for instructional technology and familiarity with the needs of higher education in an evolving environment will complement the team to meet faculty and instructional needs to support student success.
The Instructional Technology Assistant:
- Consults with College faculty to determine which resources best meet expressed learning needs.
- Provides intermediate Learning Management System and general academic and instructional technology training and support. Researches technology options and solutions and develops training materials and resources.

About the Department:
Faculty Services and Resource Centers provide relevant virtual and in-person support to all teaching faculty, staff and administration at the College. A key unit within Faculty Affairs and Development in the Office of the Provost, Faculty Services and Resource Centers provide a variety of resources and services to support Faculty, Academic Leadership, and Administration related to the learning management system (D2L Brightspace), College-specific processes, resources, and complementary instructional tools and technology. Campus service is also an integral part of our mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in and supports collaborative, cross-departmental teams to support faculty with technology issues and address requests for assistance
- Assesses faculty needs to determine availability and appropriate resources and services
- Provides intermediate Learning Management System training, troubleshooting, and support
- Provides general academic and instructional technology training and support
- Researches technology options and solutions and develops training materials and resources
- Acts as a point of contact for College information, services, and resources
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor to support the services offered by the Faculty Services & Resource Centers and/or Faculty Affairs
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED in or a closely related field of study and
- One year of experience
or
- An equivalent combination of certification, education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree or applicable certification/training in related field of study
- One to three years of experience
