This federally funded program supports low-income, first-generation students in grades 9-12 from surrounding high schools by providing academic support, ACT/SAT preparation, and college/career exploration.We are hiring instructors for:
- Math (all levels)
- English (all levels)
- Sciences (all levels)
- Computer Science English
- Art (Visual/Digital Art)
- Social Sciences
- Foreign Language
- Teach non-credit enrichment classes to a diverse group of high school students
- Prepare instructional materials, lesson plans, and classroom presentations
- Develop, review, and update curriculum.
- Assess, evaluate, and document students' skills and progress (Pre & Post Assessments)
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Demonstrate effective classroom management
- Utilize non-traditional, student-centered instructional approaches
- Apply career and academic development principles
- Foster a cohesive, multi-level learning environment
- Adapt instruction and programming to meet diverse student needs
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and the general public
- Bachelor's Degree in a related area and/or
- Two (2) years of related instructing experience
- Candidates who possess similar minimum qualifications should describe in detail the education and work experience they consider as establishing equivalency
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional principles and methods
- Expertise in curriculum development and the evaluation/selection of instructional materials
- Proficiency in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills, with a focus on non-traditional, student-centered approaches
- Understanding of career and academic development principles
- Ability to instruct and evaluate students in enrichment settings
- Develop and implement cohesive curricula and lesson plans
- Maintain effective, multi-level group dynamics
- Adapt instruction and programming to meet diverse student needs
