Essential Functions

Must be a registered voter with current registration in Pima County.

All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum/desired qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Licenses and Certificates: Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application. Failure to maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination.
Special Notice Items: Must be available to work on-call, as needed, and work overtime for extended periods of time. The County requires pre-employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history. A prior criminal conviction will not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment with the County.
Physical/Sensory Requirements: Constantly required to exchange accurate information. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery. Constantly observes details at close range. Frequently remains in a stationary position.
Working Conditions: Occasionally moves about inside an office. Occasionally moves office equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Constantly works in an indoor environment.

- Greeting and checking in voters.
- Checking IDs, ensuring they meet statutory requirements.
- Issuing and receiving ballots.
- Troubleshooting and communicating issues with site monitors.
- Answering phones and assisting the public with questions regarding their registration and voting locations.
- Disposition and inventory of all IT equipment Installation of networked devices such as scanners and peripherals.
- Testing of Ballot on-demand printers and other IT equipment as needed as well as assisting in the setup and tear down of early voting site IT equipment. (ability to lift 40 pounds)
- Help desk support for installation of software, modifying and repairing hardware, and resolving various technical issues, based on candidates’ ability.
