What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at Pima Eye Institute?
We are a busy, growing 2 physician, 2 office, ophthalmology practice seeking an experienced ophthalmic technician to be part of our fantastic team! If you have great communication skills, are eager to learn, dependable, and a team player- this job is just for you! Some of the duties include: Refracting, tonometry, topography, IOL Master, OCT, visual fields, triaging phone calls and most importantly giving all around great patient care!
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of ophthalmology and medical terminology
- Experience in a medical office setting, including patient care and intake
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Proficient in using EMR systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a clinic environment
