Position Overview
We are searching for a skilled and professional Respiratory Therapy Clinical Director to manage our Denver, CO campus. This dual-role position encompasses both clinical management and educational leadership responsibilities.
Educational Responsibilities
Instruct students in classroom theory and learning laboratory, including preparation of lecture plans and materials
Develop and maintain curriculum objectives and evaluation methods
Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of clinical instructors
Orient students to each clinical education site
Monitor and evaluate student performance regarding course objectives
Maintain student grades according to established policies
Prepare final grades each semester for student records and transcripts
May assist the Program Director with student admissions
Provide regular feedback to students on their academic progress
Clinical Management Responsibilities
Secure and manage new clinical site partnerships and contractual agreements
Coordinate clinical faculty schedules and student clinical rotations
Visit clinical facilities to ensure the quality of instruction and student experience
Ensure proper medical physician contacts and maintain records of medical direction
Develop guidelines for student-physician interaction in clinical settings
Coordinate with clinical staff for student assignments and scheduling
Monitor student competency evaluations in clinical settings
Collaborate with public and community respiratory care agencies
Review and revise clinical education plans as needed
Minimum Qualifications :
Education & Certification
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited academic institution
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Current license / certification as required by local, state, or federal laws
Experience
Four (4) years experience as a registered respiratory therapist
Including a minimum of two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
Two (2) years of instructor experience in an accredited respiratory therapy program
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong understanding of budgeting and performance evaluation processes
