Teach courses and content that will equip students with professional and clinical skills to thrive in their careers as effective entry-level Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Lesson Plans : Create and evaluate daily lesson plans, ensuring they meet student needs and curriculum goals.
Plan and Conduct Instruction : Deliver engaging lessons aimed at achieving specific objectives.
Monitor Attendance : Keep track of student attendance and coordinate with the Associate Director for follow-ups on absences.
Promote Student Success : Review success rates, meet with students to encourage retention, and maintain an 80% success rate for all classes taught.
Grade Management : Accurately maintain and prepare student grades in line with established policies.
Evaluate Performance : Assess students' achievements and make necessary adjustments to meet learning needs.
Lead Practical Sessions : Prepare and conduct lectures, labs, and practical demonstrations.
Student Advisement : Assist students with curriculum advice and provide supervision as needed.
Coordinate Externships : Help manage externships and participate in recruitment and marketing activities for the OTA program.
Collaborate on Projects : Engage in projects, committee work, and program planning to meet department goals.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Three years of relevant occupational experience.
Licensure or credentialing as required by state regulations.
Proven expertise in teaching and content delivery.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
