PIMCO is looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Collateral Management team. This role will not only involve monitoring daily collateral movements but will also emphasize the design and implementation of advanced reporting and optimization tools. You will collaborate with internal technology teams and third-party vendors to develop industry-leading solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Collaboration:Partner with the collateral management team to create and execute a comprehensive collateral management strategy that aligns with PIMCO's business objectives, focusing on enhancing collateral optimization.
- Risk Assessment:Work with the Counterparty Risk Committee to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks related to collateral management, utilizing advanced data analytics to support informed decision-making.
- Process Enhancement:Collaborate with the team to continuously assess and improve collateral management processes and systems, aiming for increased efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced control through automated reporting and optimization tools.
- Technology Collaboration:Engage with internal technology teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that improve collateral management processes. This includes designing and developing tools that provide real-time insights and analytics to drive operational excellence.
- Stakeholder Coordination:Coordinate with trading desks, risk management, operations, and technology teams to ensure smooth collateral operations, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes innovation and efficiency.
- Regulatory Adherence:Assist the team in ensuring compliance with global regulations and industry standards related to collateral management, using technology to streamline compliance processes.
- Counterparty Interaction:Collaborate directly with derivative counterparties to ensure alignment with PIMCO's overall business objectives, using analytical tools to assess and optimize counterparty relationships.
- Vendor Oversight:Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure service quality and alignment with PIMCO's collateral management goals, leveraging technology to enhance vendor performance, reporting, and oversight.
Position Requirements:
- Experience:At least 8 years of relevant experience in collateral management, preferably within an asset management firm or investment bank, with a strong focus on a diverse range of asset classes and instruments, particularly fixed income.
- Broad Expertise:Demonstrated experience with both exchange-traded and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives (including options, futures, forwards, swaps, and credit), collateral optimization strategies, prime brokerage, and a comprehensive understanding of Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR) requirements.
- Global Knowledge:In-depth understanding of financial instruments and associated documentation, including derivatives, securities lending, prime brokerage, and repo markets. Familiarity with major exchanges and clearinghouses, such as CME, LCH, and ICE.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, Python, and SQL for data analysis, process automation, and the development of reporting tools that enhance decision-making capabilities.
- Strategic Thinking:Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems, particularly in the context of designing and implementing innovative collateral management solutions.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.Salary Range: $ 108,000.00 - $ 195,000.00
