Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Performance Operations, Vice President to oversee daily performance across mutual funds, hedge funds, and institutional accounts. The ideal candidate will investigate and resolve performance inquiries from internal stakeholders while developing and deploying tools to proactively identify anomalies. This role also involves collaboration with internal technology teams and outsourced service providers to enhance technological capabilities. Key Responsibilities Build tools to monitor and validate portfolio investment results, including attribution and benchmark analysis Develop and maintain performance reports and analytical tools using Python and SQL Collaborate with investment teams and technology on system enhancements involving performance attribution Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Identify potential problems and take corrective actions as needed Recommend and implement initiatives to streamline and automate workflows or processes Document firm processes, performance calculations, and methodologies Position Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Master's degree or progress towards CFA/FRM preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in performance management/operations, risk management, or transaction lifecycle exposure in alternatives accounts from a large investment firm Strong understanding of equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies Proficient in programming (Python, SQL) and comfortable with performance measurement methodologies and risk measures Experience in calculating, validating, and interpreting portfolio investment results, including attribution and benchmark analysis Self-directed, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across diverse teams High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
