Job Description

The Alternative Funds at PIMCO total approximately $35B across multiple strategies (mainly opportunistic, credit and real estate focused) and multiple vehicle types (private equity and hedge fund).

The Financing Team sources, evaluates and executes complex fund and investment-level financing arrangements to enhance returns on fund investments. Team members are given broad exposure to many fund vehicles, investment types and stages of the investment management process

Responsibilities

• Assist with the evaluation, execution and monitoring of complex fund and investment-level financing arrangements including negotiating economic terms and legal documents
• Prepare presentations and make recommendations for senior managers on fund and investment leverage statistics
• Work with lenders, portfolio managers, third party operating partners and others on maintaining and monitoring existing financing transactions
• Work with Portfolio Managers to identify key risks, issues, and work towards solutions for currently financed investments
  
  

Requirements

• 5-10 years of investment banking or asset management experience, preferably in a structured credit, lending, capital markets role
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or the Applied Sciences is preferred
• Existing knowledge of financing markets and transaction structuring preferred
• Excellent quantitative/analytical and written/verbal communication skills
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, both internal and external
• Highly organized
• Natural curiosity for learning and for seeking exposure to new concepts
  
  

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $ 195,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
