The employee performs diverse duties of an advance and specialized nature. Discretion is required in the application of policies, procedures, and guidelines, and in selection of appropriate resources for use in accomplishing assigned work. JOB FUNCTIONSAttend court hearings.Serve as liaison between the court, other government agencies, and community providers.Prepare reports and case updates for court review and consideration.Participate in meetings and case conferences.Serve as an information source to the Judicial Bench, contract attorneys, CPS, and other state / federal agencies as required. Assist in the development of in-service training.Assist in the development of programs.Conduct orientation of new staff.Maintain electronic case documentation in compliance with County, state, and Federal requirements.Report statistical information.Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Requirements Minimum Qualifications & Special RequirementsBachelors degree in social work, behavioral / social sciences, or other closely related field; ANDThree (3) years' experience in social work, child welfare, criminal or juvenile justice, mental or behavioral health; OREquivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to qualify.
