TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES Serves as court's expert on statistical information and statistical techniques used in deriving, analyzing and interpreting data.Provides data and research for informing the development and implementation of short and/or long-term strategies for the effective management and adjudication of cases.Designs and manages databases.Analyzes court data to identify trends in filings dispositions, case outcomes, and case activity related to area of assignment.Utilizes both traditional and computerized research methods; prepares memoranda for matters researched, summarizing background, identifying and analyzing factual issues.Compiles, evaluates, records, and distributes information, in statistical and report format, to department heads and/or management employees and the Administrative Office of the Court (AOC).Depending upon area of assignment may: extract statistical data from the department's applicable databases using Microsoft Access and Crystal software report writers to create a variety of standard weekly and monthly reports; creates adhoc reports as requested.Depending upon area of assignment may: serve as a liaison with Judges, court and clerk personnel, other agencies, attorneys and the public pertaining to matters associated with case-flow management; reassign cases as directed by designated authority; produce ongoing statistical reports for Judges; notify Judges of cases needing hearing dates; monitor tasks that are statute driven and assure timelines are met; initiate case delay reduction programs and processes based upon research and data.May interact with the Clerk of the Court personnel on a periodic basis to ensure links between the Clerk's office database and departmental databases are functional, new developments in the Clerk's database will be compatible with departmental data requirements, and Clerk identification numbers are accurate. May assist in identifying new technologies for the improvement of case management or data collection and work closely with Court Information Technology Division to determine technology needs related to assigned duties.Provides training for court staff in data collection requirements related to area of assignment.Develops and maintains historical research databases. Maintains reports that have been created and distributed and support data in accordance with record retention guidelines.Derives, analyzes, and compiles data; uses findings to identify information gaps and improve future data collection.Design, analyze and validate research methods and data collection practicesUse data analysis and interpretation to make recommendations to department heads regarding practice and/or policy.Applies statistical techniques to analyze large amounts of data.Analyzes research findings to develop valuable insights and recommendations.Performs extensive research to develop understanding of the target populations, practices, and /or polices.Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.Perform other related duties as required.
