Work in this classification requires an individual to be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Since every duty associated with this classification may not be described herein, employees may be required to perform duties not specifically spelled out in this classification description, but which may be reasonably considered to be incidental in the performing of their duties just as though they were actually written out in this description. TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Supervise the staff and activities of the Document Processing Center and review and prioritize department requests for records management services.Work with departments on evaluating and updating document retention schedules, process records for destruction, disposition, and transfer, and assist in updating policies to assure compliance with state records guidelines.Maintain work logs and create reports on production statistics.Work with the Arizona Library of Archives to assure County compliance with records imaging and retention policies.Supervise and schedule the activities of assigned staff, train and coach staff, monitor work, develop staff skills, evaluate performance, assign and review projects, and audit work product.Provide guidance and technical expertise to staff on document formats, hardware, and software issues.Plan projects and report status, coordinate with customers for project analysis and planning, evaluate overall department projects, and adjust workload as needed.Verify quality of scanned documents and review accuracy of keywords, quality of scanned image, and indexing.Order supplies and maintain specialized scanning equipment.Perform work of Document Processing Technician as needed to meet workload demands.Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of principles and practices of project management, record keeping, and file maintenance.Knowledge of Arizona Library of Archives rules and policies for records imaging and retention.Knowledge of customer service standards and protocols.Skill in operating computer systems and basic software applications.Ability to provide effective customer service and deal tactfully and courteously with the public.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. The work also requires the ability to finger, handle, reach, perform repetitive motion, kneel, lift, hear, speak, stand, stoop, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a safe and secure work environment that may periodically have unpredicted requirements or demands.NOTICE TO APPLICANTS: We appreciate your interest in our employment opportunities.
