JOB SUMMARY
Perform work of routine difficulty in the preparation/processing and maintenance of personnel information. This position is a working/journey position that works under general supervision.
Example of Duties
TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Administer and score selection examinations.
- Audit personnel action forms and departmental time sheets.
- Compile and maintain records for use in employee benefits administration.
- Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports.
- Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons.
- Prepare and file reports of accidents and injuries at establishment.
- Prepare and maintain required reports.
- Process employment applications and assist in other recruitment and selection activities.
- Record employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
- Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three (3) years of H.R., clerical, or administrative experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona State Driver’s License.

The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. The work also requires the ability to finger, grasp, perform repetitive motion, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.
