Position Title: SALES ASSOCIATE
Immediate Supervisor: Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports directly to the assistant manager or manager, depending upon the size of the retail store. This position is responsible for keeping the store clean, performing water testing, fill pool additive jugs, and helping with customer needs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Previous retail and/or pool supply experience preferred, but not required. Will train the right person with outgoing personality. Excellent customer service skills required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Perform water balance testing, as needed, for customers once trained.
Answer phones.
Help customers with purchases; carrying purchases to the car.
Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep furniture, displays and counter area clean. Vacuum carpeted areas daily/ Mop floors daily.
Breakdown cardboard boxes.
Fill jugs/carry to customer car.
Report supply shortage.
May perform minor repairs.
Any other duties, as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. The position requires walking, bending and lifting. Ability to answer phones and perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
