What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Pinch A Penny (Tampa Palms)?
The Sales Associate position reports directly to the manager. This position is responsible for running the cash register, keeping the store clean, water testing, filling pool additive jugs, answering phones, and helping with customer needs.
Sales Associate Requirements
- HS Diploma preferred.
- Previous retail and/or pool supply experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Will train the right person.
Sales Associate Essential Functions
- To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Perform water balance testing, as needed, for customers.
- Answer phones.
- Help customers with purchases, carrying purchases to the car.
- Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep furniture, displays and counter area clean.
- Breakdown cardboard boxes.
- Stock shelfs
- Fill chlorine jugs, and carry items to the customers car.
- Clean windows as needed.
- Report supply shortages.
- Assist with pool vacuum repairs.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Sales Associate Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Requires constant walking, bending and lifting
- Ability to answer phones
- Perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers and/or the corporate office.
