Event production assistant
{FULL-TIME, IN-OFFICE POSITION}
Pinch Food Design is a Chelsea-based, luxury catering company looking for an Event Production Assistant to join our dynamic team. No catering experience is required, but those enthusiastic about food/beverage, events, and operations should apply. We're seeking an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Client interfacing is necessary. This role is perfect for someone looking to build a career in event production or the hospitality industry or a recent graduate looking to dive headfirst into the New York events industry.
COMPENSATION
Salary range 55k – 60k – based on experience and skills test
Benefits including health insurance, dental vison insurance and 401k
QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for someone who is :
• Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous event or food/beverage experience not required but a plus
• Extremely organized and can work under strict timelines
• Demonstrated attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing multiple projects at once
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to think critically and independently
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure, including during evening and weekend events
• Highly communicative, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable with client interfacing and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
• Proactive and ready to take ownership of administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
• A fast learner and creative problem solver who is excited to take on new tasks and responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Sales Production department with a variety of administrative tasks, such as managing rental orders, designing layouts, and coordinating shipping and permitting
• Participate in weekly production meetings and help ensure smooth communication across teams
• Maintain and organize internal resources, including Google Drive and Dropbox folders, as well as other project management tools
• Assist with client-facing tasks, including submitting permits, completing liquor license applications, and managing certificates of insurance (COIs)
• Attend events as required, including evenings and weekends, and provide on-site support for smooth execution
• Help track and coordinate payments and logistical requirements for events
