As a senior project manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion. Your excellent communication and analytical skills will enable you to effectively manage client expectations and deliver high-quality results.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, and deliverables.
- Generate comprehensive and accurate reports detailing projects progress, findings, and reports comply with regulatory standards and client project budgets and cost estimates, monitoring expenditures to stay within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and timelines.
- Oversee data collection activities, including soil, water, and soil gas/vapor sampling.
- Manage and evaluate collected data to inform decision making and project direction.
Requirements
- Five plus years of Leaking Underground Storage Tank and site assessment experience.
- Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Michigan's environmental regulations (Part 213/201/211/215).
- Experience with state contracts and bid specifications is preferred.
- Report writing experience should include Initial Assessment Reports, Final Assessment Reports, and Closure Reports, as well as institutional controls such as restrictive covenants, MDOT ELAs and PHICs.
- Field experience should include subcontractor oversight, drilling and excavation oversight, soil and groundwater sampling, and other related tasks.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organization and time management skills are critical to success in this position.
- Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
- Project management and budgeting experience.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Ability to work in various settings and to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
