Job Description:
At Pine Acres Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our therapy team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to our residents.
About the Role:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities, including exercises and therapy sessions. You will also be required to measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance. Additionally, you will observe residents and write progress reports, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises, treat residents with various techniques, help residents use necessary equipment and devices, and educate residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscles and improve mobility.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, current State PTA license, and experience in long-term-care settings preferred.
