Responsibilities
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms for parts procurement.
- Manage the order management system to track inventory levels, orders, and deliveries efficiently.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
- Utilize your mechanical knowledge to assist customers with automotive repair inquiries and part selections.
- Maintain accurate inventory control, ensuring all parts are properly logged and accounted for.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline processes and improve efficiency in part distribution.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking parts usage and maintenance schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry or related fields is preferred.
- Strong skills in customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and suppliers.
- Familiarity with order management systems and inventory control practices is essential.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge or background in automotive repair will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating strong independent problem-solving skills.
