Parts Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and distribution of automotive parts, ensuring that our inventory is well-maintained and readily available to meet customer needs. Your expertise in logistics and customer service will be essential in providing exceptional support to our clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms for parts procurement.
• Manage the order management system to track inventory levels, orders, and deliveries efficiently.
• Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
• Utilize your mechanical knowledge to assist customers with automotive repair inquiries and part selections.
• Maintain accurate inventory control, ensuring all parts are properly logged and accounted for.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline processes and improve efficiency in part distribution.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking parts usage and maintenance schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry or related fields is preferred.
• Strong skills in customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and suppliers.
• Familiarity with order management systems and inventory control practices is essential.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge or background in automotive repair will be highly regarded.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating strong independent problem-solving skills.
