Front Office Coordinator

Summary
The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for managing and training front office staff in performing all clerical duties with a professional and polite demeanor, including greeting all individuals, answering telephones, typing, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, obtaining initial consents, fee agreements and entering information in to the medical records system including demographic information and all supporting documentation. This position oversees collecting and posting all co-pays/deductible, balancing cash drawers at the end of each day and making bank deposits in a timely manner. The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for training procedures on the collection of pharmacy copays, collecting signatures for pharmacy pickups, receiving medicines from the pharmacy couriers and distributing medicines to the individual as well as sending back medicines to the pharmacy not picked up within the correct time frame. Travel is required across the 18-county catchment area and to meetings determined necessary by the Executive Director. This position manages scheduling coverage for front office staff during an absence and provides the coverage if needed.

Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor degree preferred.
Three (3) years clerical experience, medical experience preferred with two (2) years
supervisory experience.
Mobility and ability to bend and reach during an 8-hour day. Able to lift a minimum of 10
pounds. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate client/staff needs, to recognize patients and
maintain accurate records. Fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, scheduling, daily
correspondence and presentation, either manually or orally. Sedentary work endurance ability. Be able to drive distances up to two hours.
Efficient use of time management by keeping thoughts free of obstruction in an effort to
diffuse issues and needs of individuals served. Ability to think independently to determine direction of work flow.
