Duties
- Provide expert consultation on patient care practices and clinical protocols.
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate staff on medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct training sessions for healthcare providers on best practices in patient care and documentation.
- Stay updated on current trends in nursing practice, medical advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to patient care and documentation.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong analytical skills to assess patient records and care plans effectively.
- Previous experience in a consulting role or similar position is preferred but not required.
