DAILY / SHIFT TASKS:
- Examine the work area often during the shift to maintain a safe work environment
- Examine equipment before operation
- Control material to be picked up
- Safely convey material to discharge
- Extract partings without contaminating coal
- Extract coal within 2.0% of in seam ash
- Maximize coal recovery
- Practice good housekeeping, keeping work area and cab clean
- Meet and exceed production standards
- Shovel as required
- Document and report all mechanical problems
- Document and report oil changes
- Make periodic examination of gauges, maintaining appropriate oil levels, etc
- Maintain communications with operating personnel to insure productivity and safety
- Perform minor repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision
