What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rock Truck KY position at Pine Branch Mining?
1. Operates off-highway haulage truck with dump bed used to haul up to 240 tons of rock and soil from above coal seams in open pit mines.
2. Inspects the truck for safety and operational defects.
3. Completes written equipment component checklist report of inspection.
4. Operates steering wheel, hand brake, foot brake, accelerator pedal, gear shift lever, dump lever, and various other levers, knobs, pedals and switches located inside the cab of the truck.
5. Backs vehicle under the bucket of overburden loading machines in order to be loaded with rock.
6. Drives vehicle up an down grades and negotiates curves.
7. Backs vehicle up tot he edge of dump areas and causes bed to dump the overburden.
