Job Description
Job Title : Warehouse Coordinator
Reporting to : Branch Manager
Classification : Full Time, Part Time / Admin
Status : Non-Exempt
Purpose
The warehouse coordinator's role is to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share.
Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
- Own warehouse administrative functions
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
- Accurately document all receivables from their multiple sources (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Pine Drivers, Customer Drop Off, Purchase order validation and other sources)
- Promptly communicate with customers and supervisor for all discrepancies (i.e. Missing items, damages, unexpected returns, etc.)
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Enter all inbound / outbound items into ERP System, update system notes (i.e. Infor M3)
- Hazmat certified (specifics)
- Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
- Support warehouse initiatives and projects
- Work in collaboration with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure warehouse success
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
