AM (6 : 00am-2 : 30pm) PM (2 : 00pm-10 : 30pm) NOC's (10 : 00pm-6 : 30am)
- Direct the day-today functions of the nursing assistant
- Receive physician's orders and execute as appropriate
- Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to each resident in EMR
- Ensure appropriate documentation and communication of changes in a resident's needs and / or condition
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Requisition and arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services, as ordered by the physician
- Consult with the resident's physician in providing the resident's care and treatment
- Review the resident's EMR for specific treatments, medication orders, diets, etc.
- Maintain established nursing standards
- Make periodic checks to ensure that prescribed treatments are being properly administered by certified nursing assistants and to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status
- Notify the resident's physician and P.O.A. / Guardian of changes in condition
- Administer professional services such as; catheterization, tube feedings, wound care, etc.
- Ensure that personnel providing direct care to residents are providing such care in accordance with the resident's care plan and wishes
