Join our caring team! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Laundry Aide to support our facilities. In this role, you'll play a vital part in creating a clean and comfortable environment for our residents by ensuring their laundry is handled with care and efficiency. This is a 24 hour per pay period (every two weeks) position. The hours are 6 : 00am-12 : 00pm, and would require an every other Saturday rotation.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures
- Collect, sort, and weigh soiled laundry, linen, and personal garments; separate those items that require special stain removal / treatment
- Wash soiled laundry, linen, and personal garments in accordance with established laundry procedures
- Responsible for safe and proper use of cleaning solutions and adhere to all safety precautions
- Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean linens and personal garments to residents and linen storage areas instructed per schedule
- Keep work area clean and free of debris
- Ensure that an adequate supply of laundry supplies is maintained
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is always maintained
- Attend and participate in required training, conducted at time of hire and / or annually, that will include training designed to assure resident safety : i.e. fire safety, missing resident, evacuations, disaster response, etc.
- Report any observed changes in a resident's needs and / or condition immediately to a license nurse or manager as appropriate
