The Line Cook is an important part of our care team. They oversee the preparation and service of three daily meals for our residents. This is a great position for someone looking to enter the culinary, food service, or catering industries.
Responsibilities Include :
- Timely preparation and service of meals
- Handle food by safety standards
- Follow all sanitation standards
- Consistently utilize standardized recipes and portion control.
- Responsible for the supervision of the kitchen when in the absence of a supervisor / director
- Prepare meals in accordance with dietary and consistency requirements
- Assist with special functions
- Maintain and assure cleanliness and safe operation of equipment in all work areas
- Maintain logs for refrigerators / freezers and food temperatures.
- Be a role model for staff to follow and maintain a positive work environment
- Be cost-efficient and productive.
- Promote and follow facility policies, rules, and regulations.
Required qualifications :
AM Shift 5 : 00 am to 1 : 30 pm
Requires every other weekend availability.
