Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and x-rays.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of each patient's medical and dental history, as well as any allergies or sensitivities.
- Work collaboratively with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide personalized treatment plans and ensure seamless communication.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and stay current with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene or equivalent experience (1-2 years).
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and medical history documentation.
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
