POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the daily assistance of employee's needs and questions as well as HR clerical duties including onboarding/orientations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Monitors visitor and contractor badges and sign-in sheet
  • Takes incoming calls, employee call ins, takes messages, and performs drug screens
  • Help employees with address changes, automatic deposit referrals, signing out ID cards
  • Assist employees with locker maintenance: replace locks, reset locks, assign lockers, set combinations, update locker info, and monitor lockers making sure they all have closed locks on them.
  • Applications: assist people when applying, review and track applications, and perform reference checks and employment verifications as needed.
  • Monthly attendance: Punch Detail Report, run report for total hours
  • Review Exceptions Daily: Attendance, excused absences, vacations, etc.
  • Terminated Employees: Reset locker combinations, return proxy badges, check to make sure termed employees return Miller Poultry property as assigned to them, remove employee files, and remove employee from Access file
  • Help with orientation: Pictures and badges, help with adding employee into system
  • Assist with FMLA and LOA
  • Assist in translation from English to Spanish and vice versa for any documents as well as verbal translations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), college preferred


Experience:
Six months to one year related experience

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Access, Excel, and Word
