Our family-owned company has a rich history in northeast Indiana, where we have been raising and processing organic and all-natural chicken with the help of local farm families for over 30 years.

We are vertically integrated, overseeing every process within the company. This includes our chicks hatching at our family-owned hatchery, being placed within our community of more than 180 farm families, to owning two feed mills that process our corn and soybean meal mixture. We strive to source our feed ingredients from local farmers to minimize our carbon footprint.
Job Summary
We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual to join our Maintenance department as a maintenance technician. The ideal candidate will have experience working on machinery and enjoy troubleshooting problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reassemble machines after completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems.
- Inspect or test damaged machine parts, mark defective areas, or advise supervisors of repair needs.
- Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair.
- Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies to maintain and replenish stock.
- Collect and discard worn machine parts and refuse to maintain machinery and work areas.
Requirements
- Must know and pass all tests for Confined Space Entry, Hot Work Permit program, pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, and LOTO.
- Able to perform NELS checks.
- All other duties assigned.
Schedule
3rd shift - 11pm-7am
