What Will You Do?
As a Safety Specialist at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. The Safety Specialist performs a variety of moderately complex tasks in a variety of settings such as Housekeeping, Technical Services, Contact Center, Security, or Logistics. May occasionally function independently and as a leader. Safety Specialists are dedicated to excellent customer service, enthusiastic about the care we offer, and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace.

Education/Experience

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists in creating a customer friendly environment by projecting a positive attitude and anticipating and responding to requests.
- Facilitates and adheres to procedural guidelines to provide a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors. Completes a contraband check for all new patients who present. Is aware of the environment and any risk that may present from visitors to the building.
- Competent in communication and problem solving skills, able to develop constructive/creative alternatives to resolving issues and concerns. Will utilize customer service skills and be comfortable with customer follow up within scope of position.
- Responds to Code calls, exercising discretion and judgment consistent with the position function, working with unit staff to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Provides safe transport of patients or staff when appropriate per department guidelines.
- Maintains required records and supplies.
- Enters data and may create reports using various computer software programs or systems.
- Provides input on the efficiency of procedures in the assigned area.
- Has direct contact with patients within the scope of the position, serving involuntary paperwork in a timely manner utilizing patient identifiers to insure accuracy in the process.
Education/Experience
- Associates degree required.
- Basic computer software skills and/or the ability to learn applicable departmental programs and systems.
