SCHEDULE : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am -4 : 30pm and as necessary; will require on-call coverage.
Pays $66,372.80 annually DOE
LOCATION : 41 New Chardon Street, Boston, MA, will require travel to other programs
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION :
This position will provide leadership of the New Chardon residence along with the Home-to-Stay (HTS) and WISH programs under the Behavioral Health Division of Pine Street Inn.
New Chardon is a program that provides permanent housing to formerly homeless women using a Housing First / Stabilization model. The program serves women from diverse backgrounds, circumstances, and age groups. The mission is to provide trauma-informed, gender sensitive and gender specific support services that meet their special needs so they can heal and have time to heal, prepare to reintegrate into the community, and break the cycle of homelessness. The HTS and WISH programs provide permanent supportive housing formerly homeless men (7) and women (10), respectively. The goal of these programs is the assist tenants in retaining their housing and obtaining services to live independently.
The Program Manager position will oversee a 24 / 7 staffing model that includes case management and residential staff. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and case management supervision to staff, including supporting staff. The Program Manager strives to assist staff in creating and maintaining a respectful atmosphere that empowers tenants to reach their highest level of independent functioning, achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency, and reintegrate to the community. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the implementation of effective best practices (Motivational Interviewing, Comprehensive Case Management, Harm Reduction, and Trauma – Informed Care) and providing high quality support services in the programs. The Program Manager will also develop policies, procedures, and trainings for the programs in conjunction with the Director of Specialized Housing. The individual will need to be self-motivated, with solid organizational and communications skills, and capable of project management. The incumbent will also require a leader who can maintain program stability and is able to swiftly assess and respond to multiple tenant / staff issues at any given time. This position requires a great deal of tact, diplomacy, and creative problem solving in order to maintain our positive working relationships with our stakeholders, colleagues, and neighbors.
