What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation Center?

Major Responsibilities
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
- Collect and sort soiled laundry and linens throughout the facility.
- Wash, dry, and fold laundry; clean linens and distribute.
- Adhere to established cleaning and infection control procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE and supplies when handling infectious materials.
- Assure that established infection control and universal precautions and practices are maintained when performing laundry procedures.
Specific Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to read, understand, and follow instructions as well as accept constructive criticism.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of laundry areas for sanitation, order, and safety.
- Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years experience in a medical facility, preferred.
