Pine View Healthcare and Rehabilitation, a nursing home in Broomall PA, is looking for a Van Driver to join their team.
The Nursing Home Van Driver is responsible for transporting residents of the facility to and from various appointments, events, and other outings in a safe and timely manner. This position requires a compassionate and reliable individual who can ensure the comfort and safety of residents during transit.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist patients into the doctors office or appointment.
- Safely operate the nursing home van or bus to transport residents to medical appointments, social events, or other scheduled outings.
- Assist residents with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Ensure the van is in good working order by performing routine checks (fuel, tire pressure, fluid levels, etc.).
- Maintain an accurate log of miles driven, fuel usage, and any other relevant information.
- Ensure the vehicle is cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Communicate with nursing staff and family members regarding residents' transportation needs.
- Report any incidents or accidents immediately to management.
- Assist residents with any special needs, including mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.).
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and timely transportation.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and family members.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a driving position, particularly in a healthcare or senior care setting, preferred.
- Experience working with elderly or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Licensing & Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
