What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Pineapple Cove Academy?
Pineapple Cove Academy is looking for individuals who love working with children in a great atmosphere. Our ideal candidate must be caring, loving, organized, have good leadership skills, and be dependable. Experience would be preferred, but not required. Salary is determined based on the individual’s education and experience in the field.
Applicants will need to have a strong passion for working with children, have strong communication skills, able to multi-task, willing to learn, be flexible and work in a team driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Write and prepare weekly lesson plans using a pre-written curriculum provided by our Curriculum Director.
- Must be able to deliver the curriculum using developmentally appropriate practices.
- Provide a positive classroom environment.
- Lovingly attend to children's daily needs.
Qualifications:
- 45 hours of DCF training (preferred but not required- Must be completed once hired)
- Must be able to easily transition from floor to table activities with ease frequently throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to pass a Level II background screening.
- Must be available to work any time between 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.
