Job Summary:
Pineapple House of Naples is seeking an experienced Therapeutic Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our Memory Care department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging therapeutic programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This role requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with memory-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement therapeutic life enrichment programs tailored to the needs and interests of residents in the Memory Care department.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assess residents' needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Facilitate group and individual activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal resident engagement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and progress in enrichment activities.
- Provide training and support to staff and volunteers involved in life enrichment activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and interaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a therapeutic or recreational role, preferably in a memory care or senior living setting.
- Strong understanding of dementia and memory-related conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage effectively with residents and their families.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for enhancing the lives of individuals with memory challenges.
