What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Pineapple Ink Tavern?
We are looking for a an experienced host at Pineapple Ink Tavern - a local Cuban-American restaurant in downtown Augusta!
As a host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and ensure that the dining area operates smoothly while providing excellent customer service. We are open for Brunch and Dinner Friday thru Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements, ensuring efficient flow of guests. This will be done using a tablet and software.
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about the restaurant, take reservations, and handle guest inquiries.
- Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Assist servers and other team members with tasks as needed. Communicate to Staff and Management guest needs and upcoming reservations.
- Work as part of a team to create a positive, high-energy atmosphere for guests.
- Cater to guests who require special attention (e.g., the elderly or children)
- Distribute to-go orders as needed
