The Family Visitation and Transportation Program (TVP) is a collaborative program designed to provide transportation to and supervision of visitation between children in out-of-home placement and their non-custodial parents or other relatives.
Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Transportation and Visitation Monitor facilitates the supervision of visits between children in out-of-home care and their family members with a strengths-based, solution-focused approach that emphasizes full engagement with the child and family members. The Visitation Monitor ensures the safety of children at all times, identifies and documents clients’ strengths, needs, and any risk factors; and may provide families with education/coaching/modeling of appropriate parental behavior. The worker will also complete assigned drives as required which includes transportation of children and/or adults to visits and/or appointments. Court testimony may also be required. Evening/weekend hours will be required.

WHAT You’ll Do as a Visitation Monitor:
1. Transport clients to family visits and other appointments.
- Abide by all transportation and safety laws and policies.
- Use car seats as prescribed by law at all times.
- Is on time for all visits/appointments
2. Ensure the safety of clients at all times and adhere to all parameters set by the referring agency.
3. Provide families with education/coaching/modeling of appropriate parental behavior.
4. Participate in the on-going development of the Transportation and Visitation Program.
5. Document all activities provided to the family or on behalf of the family
6. Complete all reports/paperwork within the prescribed time frames
- Assist families with signing all verification forms
- Complete a visitation report at the conclusion of each visit
7. Provide testimony in court or attend case-related meetings as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree with more than two years of demonstrated experience in family life education and children’s services or a bachelor’s degree in human services.
- At least one year of child welfare experience.
- Must have knowledge of family dynamics, child development, and effective parenting.
- Have an excellent driving record, reliable car and proper liability insurance.
- Must be available to work 10-20 hours of work per week.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
