Pinecrest Animal Hospital in Owosso is seeking skilled Kennel Assistants to join our growing small animal practice. We are a fast paced and progressive 3 doctor practice providing a wide variety of services from routine vaccines and health exams to performing advanced surgical and dental procedures with state of the art digital x-ray and full in-house laboratory in a modern facility. Job Summary
Busy 3 doctor small animal hospital looking to hire an experienced Part-time or Full-Time Kennel Assistant. Must be self motivated and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Knowledge of AVImark is a plus. Must be able to work rotating Saturdays. Veterinary, Boarding, or Doggy Day Care experience a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
- -Maintaining hospital cleanliness inside and outside the facility, keeping supplies stocked and ready for use
- -Assist the doctor and technicians as needed with patient restraint
- -Assist with cleaning and processing surgical instruments
- -Maintain a clean and sterile hospital environment
- -Maintain a happy, collaborative and positive attitude under stressful situations
- -Ability to learn new veterinary software and accurately update medical records as needed
- -Ability to restrain dogs and cats safely and securely
- -Capable of lifting large dogs (with assistance)
- -Ability to follow instruction
- -Other tasks as designated and required
