Superintendent
Pinecrest Construction & Development Co. is 31-year Reno based family friendly and family run GC with a diversified business model. We build a variety of product types including but not limited to Tenant Improvements, Car Washes, Apartment Buildings, Tilt Ups, Self-Storage Facilities, Customized Metal Buildings, Retail and Office Buildings.
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and skilled professional who will be responsible for executing and managing various construction projects. In this role, the candidate will be required to run commercial projects and fulfill the needs of the company as a whole. The Superintendent will report directly to the General Superintendent & Project Managers.
Responsibilities
· Oversee certain construction projects given by our General Superintendent/Executives
· Assist with company communications including coordination with jobsites, client personnel, and contractors
· Plan and direct construction activities on the building site
· Schedule all involved subcontractors on each phase of the development and construction
· Maintains a safe work site by implementing safety requirements and good housekeeping regulations,
· Maintains compliance with all applicable building codes
· Follow up/maintain records of all projects assigned to ensure the work is being completed per the schedule
· Develops and maintains good rapport with subcontractors, city officials and inspectors
· Execute company policies and enforces uniformity on construction methods to ensure compliance with quality standards
· Verify all checklists are completed and inspections are scheduled and passed
· Assist the project managers with various documentation requirements that are needed to achieve the fulfillment of the project at hand
· Communicates with Project Managers regarding change orders and RFI’s
· As directed, interact on the company’s behalf with trade (sub)contractors, clients, accountants, attorneys, insurance providers, engineers, architects, suppliers, property managers, etc.
Job Requirements
· Minimum 3 years of supervision on Ground Up construction OR Tenant Improvements
· Computer savvy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
· Computer Literacy is proficient or above
· Ability to take written and oral direction and apply it correctly using common sense is preferred
· Willingness to learn and adapt to other software programs
· Knowledge in Procore is a plus
· Competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision
· Self-motivated
· Trustworthy
· Ability to engage with all levels of company staff and subcontractors
· Responsible for keeping private and sensitive information confidential
Maintain a positive office presence during regular business hours
· Excellent phone and customer service skills
· Contract or legal experience a plus
Work Location: Reno, NV
Job Type: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00p.m.
