What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Mechanic-Facilities-Full Time position at Pinehurst Resort?
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to keep all HVAC related equipment in working condition so as not to inconvenience our guest. The HVAC Mechanic must have a strong background in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Must possess customer service skills, a high level of professionalism, and exceptional professional appearance
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Must possess computer skills to operate automated systems.
- Repair refrigeration through out the resort.
- Repair heating, A / C & equipment as needed.
- Repair refrigeration systems including commercial ice making equipment.
- Install new equipment not contracted out.
- May be required to do sheet metal work.
- Maintain records on all equipment.
- Must be able to respond to off hours calls 24 / 7 every 3rd week.
- Assist other maintenance personnel and perform duties assigned by management.
- Adhere to all Property and Department standards including Safety Guidelines.

- Must possess a valid NC Drivers License and pass the resort Motor Vehicle Report.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and explosives. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
