SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring all Members have proper access to pool area. Meet, greet and check in of members as they enter the pool area according to Pinehurst No 9 standards in a timely manner
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and a minimum of one year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
CPR / AED certifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for complete and efficient setup, breakdown, and clean-up of the pool dining areas including straightening all lounge chairs and chairs to diagram and setting out towels.
- Responsible for knowledge of menus and daily specials
- Maintain overall presentation of pool areas by ensuring that tables and chairs are clean and straight, floors, walls, and restrooms are clean; light bulbs are not burnt out and condiments are clean and full according to standards.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new Employees.
- Fold towels according to specified standards.
- Alert Supervisor immediately if a Member has a suggestion, complaint, or issue.
- Participate in Employee meetings, training, and daily line ups
- Maintain Guest confidentiality.
- Observe diners to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meals have been completed.
- Assist Guest with food selection and information about food items.
- Responsible for knowledge of Pinehurst's facilities and amenities to assist Guests with directions and questions.
- Responsible for communication with Stewarding every day at 2PM and 5PM for trash pickup and Laundry when running low on towels and when towel bins are 3 / 4 full.
- Fill out requisition immediately at night so cabana can be re stocked as opening duty.
- Because of the fluctuating demands of No 9s operation, it may be necessary that each Employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or directed.
- Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
- Responsible for proper and efficient dining and banquet setup
- Perform and maintain Pinehurst's operating standards and standards of service.
- In this position you will be expected to work holidays wherever needed even if your primary outlet is closed.
- May be required to cross train and work in other positions as needed according to business levels

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and extreme cold and extreme heat, as well as wet and / or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. No. 9 Pool opens in June and closes early October. It may open early or close early depending on weather conditions. Work hours will vary according to business levels and may be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
