Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Recreation Supervisor in all aspects of the PCC Pool and PCC Recreation Departments. To include, but not limited to the following: planning and execution of the children camps and family activities as well as annual/daily events, assist with recreational activities, seasonal decorating, provide children with supervision while parents are involved in other activities or club events.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of 2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Recreation Assistant will be expected to direct and supervise recreation activities as well as provide staff with the necessary tools and information to implement activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Hold up to date CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Work to enhance the Member/Guests experience so that each Member/Guest becomes a repeat Guest.
- Must report on a regular basis to the Recreation Supervisor on all important issues concerning children, participants, Members and Guests in general.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe play and work area at all times.
- Responsible for clocking in at the beginning of your shift and clocking out at the end of your shift.
- When involved with Children’s Camps and events, meals will be eaten with the children.
- Responsible for maintaining open lines of communication and good rapport with the parents of children who participate in events.
- Implement and provide new ideas for décor, activities and crafts.
- Responsible for obtaining registration forms and all release forms from the parent or guardian of the child participating in the Pinehurst Pals and Recreation Camps.
- Responsible for setting up/breaking down various aspects of recreation activities, including, decorations, demonstrations, reservations, etc.
- Assist in the decorating, planning and execution of holiday activities and daily activities.
