What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registration Attendant-Tennis-Part Time position at Pinehurst Resort?
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to provide customer service and sales support in the Tennis Club / Fitness Center : The individual must be an enthusiastic, highly motivated, self-starter that possesses strong customer service skills. This individual must also possess adequate computer skills
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Guest / Member needs and requests are to be attended to in a courteous and assertively friendly manner.
- EP is expected to use good salesmanship techniques in promoting the departments products, machines and Club activities.
- Use the Three Steps of Service; make eye contact and use the guests / members name whenever possible.
- While at the Pro Shop / Fitness Center service counter, EP should always be standing and never leaning on the counter or slouching at the register.
- Performing retails sales utilizing Visual One and Golf Pro point-of-sale systems.
- Booking court reservations, private and group lessons, clinics, round robins, junior events, and Club special events utilizing automated Tennis Court Reservation system.
- When completing a transaction, always count back the customers change and give the customer their sales receipt.
- EPs must never ring up their own sales or sales for family or friends. Violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action and possible termination.
- Answering / directing incoming telephone calls accordingly. No personal calls while guests / members are in the Pro Shop / Fitness Center. Limit the length of time on personal calls. No cell phones permitted at the service desk.
- Adhere to inventory requirements from Golf Retail and participate in scheduled inventories.
- Ability to demonstrate and / or answer questions concerning fitness center equipment
- Distribution and presentation of Pro Shop merchandise to be managed / supervised by the Tennis Shop Supervisor.
- Daily vacuuming, glass cleaning, trash removal, refolding, restocking and straightening Pro Shop merchandise.
- Making coffee, ordering and restocking supplies including coffee, cups, sweeteners, creamers, stirs, paper towels, trash bags, etc.
- Daily vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning counters, tables and floor mat.
- Calculating and completing daily check-out report.
- Deliver reports, deposit and cash to Hotel Cash Room.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires standing for up to 8 hour shifts, performing light cleaning duties, and straightening and hanging merchandise. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
