POSITION SUMMARY
The Pinelake Kids Ministry Temporary Associate, Reservoir Campus, is responsible for assisting the Children’s Pastor/Minister in leading, shepherding, and guiding the spiritual development of staff, leaders, and children within the children’s ministry. This temporary role supports the Children’s Pastor/Minister in developing, implementing, and promoting Children’s Ministry with a primary focus on children in 1st-4th grades and their families. The Kids Ministry Temporary Associate helps uphold Pinelake’s vision of learning from Christ, living in Christ, and leading others to Christ.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
- Assists the Children’s Pastor/Minister in achieving excellence in all areas of ministry.
- Basic personal responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation, and practicing L3.
- Maintain proper priorities at home, including relationships with spouse and children (if applicable).
- Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by stewarding resources wisely.
- Maintain active participation in the community.
- Practice personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner that glorifies Christ and furthers the mission and ministry of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).
- Live out the 7 H’s of staff culture: Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health, and Harmony.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Support:
- Assists with leadership in elementary ministry (1st-4th grades) in the areas of servant leader development and strategic events.
- Provides support for small group leadership, including directors, coaches, and teachers.
- Assists with special events such as Summer Camps and Outreach Events.
Safety & Compliance:
- Helps ensure a safe ministry environment by following Pinelake’s safety policies, including worker applications, background checks, and adherence to Our House Promise.
Servant Leader Recruitment & Development:
- Recruits servant leaders as small group coaches, small group teachers, hospitality leaders, large group leaders, and for special events.
Curriculum & Environment Preparation:
- Prepares Sunday morning PLK environments and content in collaboration with the PLK Team.
Baptisms:
- Supports the Children’s Pastor/Minister in leading children and families through the baptism process, including New Beginnings conversations.
Event Support:
- Assists with the development of children’s ministry environments for monthly ministries like Fresh Wind and other special events.
Other Duties:
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the ministry.
This temporary position serves a critical role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the Children’s Ministry, ensuring a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment for children, families, and servant leaders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May supervise and coordinate work with servant leaders.
