SUMMARY

Working in conjunction with overall vision, mission and objectives for Pinelake Church, the Little Laker’s Minister gives supervision and leadership to preschool ministry, focusing on children; ages Birth-kindergarten and their families. This position invests and leads the Madison campus servant leader team to grow spiritually, relationally, and in ministry excellence. The Little Laker’s Minister must also support processes and procedures to create a safe environment, implement the vision, organize weekly ministry, to foster the spiritual, evangelical, and relational foundations for the families of Pinelake Church, through servant-leader owned ministries.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
  • Collaborate with Pinelake leadership to plan, oversee, and evaluate all components of Little Lakers at the Madison Campus.
  • Basic personal responsibilities:
    • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.
    • Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
    • Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
    • Maintain active participation in community.
    • Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).
    • Value the 7 H’s of our staff culture in your heart, home, and life (Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health and Harmony).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership to and shepherds Little Lakers Servant eaders including: recruiting, onboarding, equipping, oversight, pastoral care and encouragement.
  • Keeps the Children’s Ministry safe by certifying all servant leaders using Pinelake’s Our House Promise, worker application and background check, and adhering strictly to all safety policies.
  • Ensures servant leadership structure is running and sufficiently staffed in the areas of small group coaches, small group leaders, and special events.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts three baby dedications per throughout the year.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and direction for paid childcare staff, and administrative support.
  • Plans and promotes activities to support our Sunday ministry to preschoolers and supervises the communication of these activities to other staff members, lay leaders, and parents.
  • Maintains an environment that welcomes all visitors to the preschool ministry and makes sure that appropriate follow up is made with first visitors.
  • Builds relationships with preschool families through personal contact, lunches, meetings, or correspondence.
  • Prepares and manages the budget for the Preschool Ministry within the parameters established by the Campus Pastor and One Church team. Executive Staff, and the Finance Ministry Team.
  • Interfaces with specific ministry teams who support the Preschool Ministry.
  • Assists other ministers as necessary in the successful completion of regular worship events and special events.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and direction of other Preschool Ministries.
  • Participates in general hospital visitations and pays special attention to Pinelake families with new children or sick preschoolers.
  • Provides oversight for and leadership to Pinelake’s Our House Promise strategy.
  • Maintains the integrity of administrative duties such as compiling reports, preparing expense reports and completing purchase orders, as required by executive staff.
  • Purchases and oversees the use and maintenance of all equipment used by the Preschool Ministry to ensure proper operation, safety of the operator and participants, and security of the equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises non-exempt personnel (Administrative Assistant, Paid Childcare staff).
  • Supervises and coordinates work with servant-leaders.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include working with the One Church Staff Team to interview, hire, and evaluate performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and administering payroll, vacation/paid time off and other personnel procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree minimum; and five years of ministry related experience and/or training.
